Currently we have a permit to operate from 10am-5pm every day; this will hopefully extend in the months to come.

During the day-times this space will predominantly feature funeral send-offs by local legends The Last Hurrah Funerals, and we do welcome other funeral companies to drop us a line if they’d like to use the space.

We welcome all sorts of events from conferences to parties, life drawing classes to weddings and everything in between - so long as you’re happy to be done and dusted by 5pm.

Due to our restricted hours we offer extremely flexible and competitive rates based on what type of event you’re holding.

Please take note: We reserve the right to decide what kind of events we hold here at our gorgeous space. If you’re planning some kind of right-wing political meeting, you have questionable mad capitalist big dog icky vibes, or you’re just not a nice person, we’re opting out of hosting your event.

Hire / Packages

This space offers a place to show off your sweet hearse by parking inside - this also facilitates easy departures and farewells for the family post ceremony.

The beauty of this space is that you can have the ceremony and wake in the one space, with no need for people to travel between venues.

This space can be self-catered for food, or you can partner with our incredible in-house caterer.

Funerals (Mon-Fri)

  • Minimum spend on the bar (inclusive of hire fee): $2800. Bar tab/cash bar available. Additional staffing for above 200 people is a flat $600. A bar tab and/or cash bar beyond this amount is absolutely possible

  • Fully RSA trained staffed bar and trained onsite funeral attendants to greet your guests, assist the funeral director and generally ensure things are smooth

EXTRAS:

  • AV tech with full PA and dual screens with tech operation from pre-ceremony to wake $800 (background non-queued music playback and slideshow playback complimentary)

  • Broadcast quality live-streaming available for $1000 for pre-ceremony to start of wake

ADDITIONAL EXTRAS:

  • Fully self-catered for food or work with our caterer: Grazing tables from $800, per-head packages from $19 per head, full catering service available and space for a food truck next to the garden

  • Vintage Hearse and driver $880 (up to 4 hours)

  • Vigil / Viewing Space separate to the funeral day $650 (2 hours)

Weddings

A relaxed, lush space with plenty of room for revelry, and a little chill-out zone for you two lovebirds to take a moment - all the fun and joy, but also off to the honeymoon locale at a reasonable hour - and at a great price!

Fully self-catered for food, or work with our amazing and affordable in-house caterer.

WEEKDAY HIRE

  • Minimum bar spend (hire of venue inclusive): $3000 across 6 hours for up to 200 people. An additional staffing charge above 200 people is a flat $800 fee. A bar tab and/or cash bar beyond this amount is absolutely possible and we also have drinks packages if you’d like table service of drinks

  • Fully RSA trained staffed bar, friendly staff, and dedicated venue manager to bring your vision to life, greet your guests, and make the day an awesome vibe

EXTRAS:

  • AV Tech with full PA and dual TVs with tech operation for ceremony $800 (background non-queued music playback complimentary)

  • DJ for entire event (up to 5 hours) $1000

  • Broadcast quality live-streaming and recording available for $1000 from pre-ceremony through to cocktail hour/wedding party entrance

  • Fully self-catered or work with our caterer: Grazing tables from $800, per head packages from $19 per head, full banquet catering service also available, with space for a food truck next to the garden

WEEKEND HIRE

  • Minimum spend of $3500 on Saturdays and Sundays as above. Additional staffing for over 200 people is a flat $950

  • AV Tech on weekends as above $920

  • DJ as above on weekends $1150

Conferences

Our space is really well-suited to conferences where you’d rather be in a light, airy space with all the tech elements you need, but without the windowless theaterette vibe.

  • Hire Fee: $1300 for up to 6 hours for up to 300 people

  • Minimum spend on the bar: $800. A bar tab and/or cash bar beyond this amount is absolutely possible. We also have drinks packages if you’d like table service of drinks

  • Fully RSA trained staffed bar, friendly staff, and dedicated venue manager

  • Complimentary tea and coffee facilities

  • AV Tech with full PA and dual TVs with tech operation $800 for up to 3 hours - $150 per hour after that

  • Broadcast quality live-streaming and recording available for $1000 for up to 3 hours

  • Fully self-catered or work with our caterer: Grazing tables from $800, per head packages from $19 per head, full banquet catering service also available, with space for a food truck next to the garden

Offering plenty of room for the shoot, crew, vehicles and catering, this space offers a unique and secure central location for creative shoots of all kinds.

We offer the space on a sliding scale depending on where you are in the cycle of your creative practice. Whether you’re a band just starting out or an international film production house, we’re here to work with you! Just drop us a line.

Live Music & DJs

We keep it all in the family here - Perfect Day Music was one of Melbourne's most trusted live music and DJ agencies until our co-founder Kimba moved onto funerals, weddings and parties.

An acclaimed jazz singer, Kimba and longtime musical collaborator and soulmate Ryan have selected the best of the best from the crew to offer their musical services - all with the care, attention and good vibes Perfect Day Music was known for.

Acoustic Duo - Kimba and Ryan (guitar/vocal) or The Ryan Griffith Duo/Trio (Guitar, double bass, and horn or guitar trio)

These jazzy style combos cover the range of tunes from postmodern jukebox style reworkings of pop tunes to guitar music from around the world, and classic jazz standards. A great way to add music to the day without annoying our neighbours (very important!) 

Duo: $1200

Trio: $1600

DJ: Our DJs Ryan, Sascha and Dante work with you to spin a selection of the tunes you personally vibe with, along with some selected bangers they know everybody likes to have a little groove to. If you would like to bring your own DJ, that's on a case-by-case basis due to the extremely strict sound limits we have at the venue.
